HGV Driver – Omagh
Location: Omagh
Hours: 39‑hour week. Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:45pm; Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Operate HGVs safely, legally and responsibly.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment between Terex facilities and designated sites.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with health & safety standards.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with legal and company requirements.
- Operate a forklift truck to load and unload goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests and inspection reports.
- Adhere to driving regulations, tachograph rules, driver hours and working time directives.
- Liaise with site personnel, stores teams and logistics coordinators to ensure efficient loading and unloading.
- Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and presentable.
- Report incidents, near misses or delays promptly to management.
- Support general yard duties when required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of road transport regulations and compliance.
- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail when completing paperwork and inspections.
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid HGV licence (Category C+E as required).
- Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Previous experience in a similar HGV driving role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments, minimum 2years.
- Experience of inter‑site or multi‑drop deliveries.
