Yard Operative (Forklift Licence Required)
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30-17:30 Alternate Saturdays 7:30-16:30

Salary: £31, £32,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload delivery vehicles using the forklift, making sure materials are stored efficiently.
• Keep the yard tidy, organised, and ensure materials are easily accessible.
• Offer exceptional customer service by assisting customers with loading/unloading and providing product advice.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
• Regularly check forklifts and yard equipment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
• Work with the team to ensure smooth yard operations and on-time deliveries.
• Perform other manual handling tasks and yard maintenance as needed.

Requirements:

• Forklift Licence: You\’ll need a valid counterbalance forklift licence as you\’ll be moving building materials and ensuring everything is in its proper place.
• Team Player: You\’ll work well with your colleagues but also take ownership of tasks and thrive when working independently.
• Dynamic: We need someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and doesn\’t shy away from a busy yard.
• Good Communication: Your ability to interact with customers and colleagues alike will help ensure smooth operations.
• Safety First: A keen understanding of health and safety regulations is a must.
