Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring high standards across sales, customer service, stock control, and health & safety
- Drive sales growth, maximise profitability, and deliver strong commercial performance against branch targets
- Motivate, and develop a high-performing team, creating a positive and customer-focused working environment
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support business growth and market share
- Oversee stock management, inventory control, and operational efficiency to ensure product availability and smooth branch operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards while maintaining an excellent customer experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a Builders Merchant environment, with strong product and market knowledge
- Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Strong commercial awareness with experience driving sales, profitability, and operational performance

- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to analyse and report on branch performance
