Salary: Negotiable

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am – 4pm, Alternate Saturdays 7am -1pm

About the Role:

As Branch Manager, you will be driving the business growth of the branch while building a motivated and highly customer-focused team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded leader to take ownership and play a key role in its success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring high standards across sales, customer service, stock control, and health & safety
  • Drive sales growth, maximise profitability, and deliver strong commercial performance against branch targets
  • Motivate, and develop a high-performing team, creating a positive and customer-focused working environment
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support business growth and market share
  • Oversee stock management, inventory control, and operational efficiency to ensure product availability and smooth branch operations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards while maintaining an excellent customer experience

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a Builders Merchant environment, with strong product and market knowledge
  • Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience driving sales, profitability, and operational performance
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to analyse and report on branch performance
  • Organised, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
