Team: Machine Operative Join our team at Terex and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Machine Operative to contribute to the Terex Dungannon Machine Shop team.

  • Position: Machine
  • Operative
  • Work: 39 hours per week
  • You will play a pivotal role within the Machine Shop Team, operating various machines within the machine shop such as hand plasma, press, CNC machinery helping to create equipment that helps improve the lives of people around the world.
  • Main Duties & Responsibilities Operating machinery to cut material to specification
  • Inspecting fresh sheet metal for any imperfections or quality issues
  • Read and interpret drawings or cut plans. Measure and mark out accurately. Understand material types and thicknesses.
  • Select correct machine settings. Monitor metal quality as its being cut
  • Identify worn consumables and perform basic maintenance.
  • Meeting set targets whilst working on the production line
  • Adhering to strict quality targets
  • Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement
  • To maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations
  • What you will bring
  • Previous experience in the use of hand plasma, CNC machinery and stud welding
  • Communication skills
  • Have a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to work under pressure and be fully dependable and reliable
  • Ability to use on initiative and work with minimal supervision
