Responsibilities
- Support daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement and engage employees to meet targets.
- Support the welding team, schedule workload and materials to ensure targets are met.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety processes and procedures.
- Maintain a high-quality standard within the production shed at all times.
- Support the Production Supervisor in day‑to‑day production to ensure on‑time delivery targets.
- Liaise with other teams and departments on a daily basis.
- Apply high standards of 5S.
- Understand Lean principles and methodology.
- Perform any other reasonable duties.
Qualifications
- Significant production experience in a highly pressured, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or people‑management experience preferred.
- Good working knowledge of steel fabrication, machine parts and steel processing.
- Ability to work on own initiative and make responsible business decisions.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Motivated self‑starter with eye for detail.
- Drive quality improvements and meet targets.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
