Location: Cookstown

Hours: 39‑hour week - 4 nights, Monday to Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all materials are accounted for; tack and weld materials together as per engineering drawings to the highest standard and quality.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, particularly welding symbols.
  • Apply Lean principles and methodology.
  • Work within a team environment and use own initiative.
  • Comply with current and future health & safety laws, processes and procedures.

  • Ability to work on own initiative with a "can do, make it happen" attitude.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with others to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables and other measuring instruments.

  • Diagnostic, troubleshooting and rapid problem resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Drive quality improvements and meet given targets.
  • Knowledge of H&S procedures and responsibilities.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing preferred.
