Work Hours: 39‑hour week (Mon–Thu 7:00am – 3:45pm; Fri 7:00am – 1:00pm).
Location: Cookstown.
Responsibilities
- Inspect chassis and ancillary equipment, including cut/folded production parts.
- Perform PDI of chassis and ancillary equipment using 3‑D model software and upload reports.
- Conduct paint checks of chassis, horn and power units.
- Inspect internally fabricated parts and sub‑assembly units before moving to main build.
- Prepare PDI reports, attend morning meetings and complete associated paperwork.
- Resolve customer issues and investigate FRACAS (external non‑conformances).
- Maintain quality gates and observe internal red‑tag escalation processes.
- Support quality investigations, internal audits (5S, LSOP, etc.) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and quality targets.
Qualifications
- Experience in a quality or inspector role within manufacturing.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with 3‑D model software.
- Knowledge of measurement equipment (weld gauge, taper gauge, angle finder, etc.).
- Understanding of welding processes and the manufacturing process.
- Experience with a quality management system.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills and safety awareness.
- Ability to produce clear handwritten reports.
- Experience in continuous improvement and knowledge of cut/fold processes is an advantage.
