Experienced Halo Developer in City of London

We have an outstanding reputation, with customers across industries including Financial Services, Government and Defence. Our Enterprise Platforms practice helps organisations design, implement and improve modern service management platforms and ways of working.

We are looking for an experienced Halo Developer to join our Enterprise Platforms practice, working with customers to configure, develop and improve solutions on the Halo platform. This role is aimed at someone who already has practical Halo experience and can become productive quickly. We are looking for at least 6 months of hands-on experience administering, configuring or developing within Halo ITSM rather than a traditional software development background.

You will work across customer implementations and improvements, translating requirements into practical Halo configuration while following good service management and platform design principles.

Background & Experience

• At least 6 months of hands-on experience administering, configuring or developing in Halo ITSM
• Experience configuring ticket types, workflows, actions, fields and service catalogue items
• Experience working with users, agents, teams, organisations, sites and access or permissions within Halo
• A good understanding of core ITSM processes including incidents, requests, problems, changes, assets and knowledge
• Experience configuring notifications, templates, SLAs or other day-to-day platform functionality
• Experience troubleshooting configuration issues and working through problems logically
• The ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into maintainable Halo configuration
• Good written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with customers and stakeholders
• The ability to document configuration and work effectively as part of a wider delivery team

Desirable Experience

• Halo APIs, integrations or working with external systems
• Halo Integration Runbooks, automation or more advanced workflow configuration
• Data imports, data mapping and migration into Halo
• SQL and working with relational data
• JavaScript or other scripting experience
• Reporting, dashboards and data analysis
• Enterprise Service Management and using Halo for functions outside IT, such as HR, Facilities, Procurement or Finance
• ITIL Foundation or wider ITIL knowledge
• Experience in a consultancy or customer-facing delivery environment
• Experience or an interest in AI and its application within service management
• Security Clearance (SC) or previous experience working within secure environments

We are not looking for a heavyweight software engineer. We are looking for someone who knows their way around Halo, understands how service management platforms are configured and can take a requirement through to a sensible working solution.

You should be comfortable owning configuration tasks, asking the right questions when requirements are unclear and continuing to develop your Halo technical skills through real customer delivery.
