  • This position is based on a full time contract (latest finish at midnight)

As a Bartender at AC by Marriott Inverness you are responsible for the bar, you are a host and advisor of our guests.

You are not only responsible for preparing and serving drinks and snacks, but also mise en place (refill stock, maintain a presentable bar) and taking care of payments.

Mise en place: Providing an accurate, timely and complete mise en place, such as checking bar and lobby area, ordering supplies and refilling stock.

Also, you are working according to the HACCP standard processes and regulations.

Bartending: Welcoming guests, taking orders and providing information about drinks and food.

Prepare or communicate orders and providing information and entertain guests.

Open/close bar in line with best practice and SOPs.

Cashiering: Starting up the cashier when opening and processing payments. Depositing revenue in the prescribed manner and controlling cash according to procedure.

Cleaning: Maintaining the bar area in presentable way and clean bar and equipment at end of shift. You will also be responsible for closing the bar at the end of the day.

Others: Maintaining a good working relationship and contact with direct colleagues and other departments.

Teamwork, offering assistance where needed.

Consistently ensuring a high quality of service and work.

In addition, attend departmental meetings and training if required.

Maintaining clean and well-groomed appearance as required by the Marriott standards.

Support bar lead with day to day bar operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in the same or similar leading role
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge about leading a team, bar menu engineering, cocktails and beers.
  • Possession of bartender training certificates is a plus
