The predicted salary is between 22000 - 30000 £ per year.

This position is based on a full time contract.

Gross Salary: £12.58 per hour. On top of this we pay a £4 commute allowance.

How exciting would it be to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment preparing the food for our guests and ensuring they leave with a great all round experience? We are looking for someone to work in our kitchen operation at Moxy Edinburgh Airport. We are a busy hotel where guests are looking for quick but nutritious meals.

You don't need to be a chef but you do need to have a passion for food, be organised, and be able to work under pressure. Experience of Merry chefs would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given.

Main Tasks & responsibilities:
  • Prepare food using Merry chefs
  • Present food in line with brand standards
  • Preparation, set-up, service, clean up and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food
  • Restock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organize BOH areas
  • Cleanliness of the kitchen area
  • Full ownership of FIFO system (first in first out) of food items
  • Follow all food safety policies to work safely
  • Food handling according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance and record keeping, storage procedures etc.)
  • A positive attitude and ability to create a buzz in the kitchen

  • Clear communicator, fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)
Useful Experience:
  • Experience within the service industry
  • Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
  • Personal experience of travel and travel industry
