Location: Weymouth (Main office on-site, with occasional work-from-home flexibility)

Salary: Up to £34,850 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Periodic out-of-hours on-call rotation required)

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time 37 hours per week

(Please note: Candidates must have explicit domiciliary care management experience; care home-only background will not meet our requirements for this specific role).

About the Role

As our Registered Domiciliary Care Manager, you will take overall responsibility for driving the highest standards of person-centred care, ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health and safety legislation. You will lead, empower, and develop an established, multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and empowering care to our residents.

At full capacity, you will oversee the care provided to 46 residents, driving quality, continuous improvement, and an exceptional standard of life for everyone in our service.

The Team You Will Lead

You will be supported by a strong, dedicated staff team of 23 headcount, comprising:

  • 1 x Deputy Manager
  • 1 x Quality Assurance Officer
  • 1 x Admin Assistant
  • 1 x Art Coordinator
  • 3 x House Leaders (Team Leaders)
  • 16 x Care & Support Workers

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality & CQC Compliance: Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring full adherence to the Health and Social Care Act, maintaining care audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement action plans.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Direct, support, and recruit competent care staff, overseeing inductions, rotas, regular supervision, and training to help your team reach their full potential.
  • Person-Centred Care: Foster a warm, relaxed, and personalised environment that respects individual choice, dignity, and independence while ensuring robust safeguarding practice.
  • Operational & Financial Management: Oversee service budgets, staff rotas, medication management, and partnership working with external health and social care professionals.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Registered Manager Status: Proven experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
  • Domiciliary Care Expertise: Direct, significant experience managing a CQC-registered domiciliary care or supported living service for adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, or autism. (Care home-only experience is not suitable).
  • Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification/willingness to work towards Level 5).
  • In-Depth Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of CQC care standards, safeguarding procedures, safe medication administration, and the Mental Capacity Act / DoLS.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven track record in staff recruitment, performance management, rotas, and budget oversight.
