Moxie People are recruiting for a Wellbeing Support Worker to join a pioneering project in Cardiff that aims to make youth homelessness rare, brief and non-recurrent. You'll work as part of a powerful partnership model that's changing the way support is delivered - and changing lives in the process.

  • Salary: Circa £24,000 per annum
  • Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (plus on-call rota, 1 in 8 weeks)
  • Contract: Fixed term until March 2027 (with potential for extension)
  • Location: Based across multiple sites in Cardiff

What you'll be doing as a Wellbeing Support Worker:

  • Provide 1:1 support to young people at risk of exploitation, abuse, or crisis
  • Help them build resilience and coping tools while awaiting mental health services
  • Work with their support workers and partners across Cardiff to ensure joined-up care
  • Deliver person-centred support that prioritises dignity, trust, and emotional safety

This role is ideal if you:

  • Have experience supporting young people with complex needs
  • Understand trauma-informed care and practice it with compassion
  • Are calm under pressure, resilient, and great at building trust
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and want to make a real impact

Nice to have:

  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of child sexual/criminal exploitation indicators
  • Background in floating support, outreach, or partnership-based services
