About the role
Moxie People are supporting a well‑run social housing provider to bring in an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor on a 3‑month+ fixed‑term contract, with an immediate start for the right person.
You will:
- Carry out detailed damp, mould and condensation surveys in occupied homes
- Diagnose root causes (building defects, ventilation, lifestyle, leaks, insulation and more)
- Produce clear, high‑quality reports with recommended remedial works and priorities
- Work closely with repairs, asset and contractor teams to ensure actions are followed through
- Speak with residents in a calm, empathetic way, explaining findings and prevention tips
About you
You’ll thrive here if you’re practical, observant and good with people. You’ll also have:
- Proven experience in damp, mould and/or building pathology surveying
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Building Surveying HNC/HND/Degree) or strong equivalent experience
- Ideally professional membership or progression with RICS, CIOB or similar (desirable, not essential)
- Confident report writing skills and ability to use surveying/diagnostic tools
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the local area
