Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to build independence, confidence, and stability in their lives? We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join a supported housing service working with young people who may have experienced homelessness, trauma, care experience, or complex support needs.
You will make first contact with new referrals, discuss needs, assess the situation, and make a plan. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives on building positive relationships and making a genuine difference every day.
The Role
- Provide person-centred support to young people living within supported accommodation and community-based settings.
- Help individuals work towards their goals, develop independent living skills, and access opportunities around education, training, wellbeing, and employment.
What will you do?
- Engage with young people to assess the situation, needs, and support required.
- Support young people through regular key-working sessions.
- Create and review support and risk management plans.
- Encourage engagement with education, training, employment, and meaningful activities.
- Support tenants with budgeting, benefits, and tenancy-related responsibilities.
- Work alongside external agencies and support networks.
- Maintain accurate support records and safeguarding documentation.
- Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
What We're Looking For

- Understanding of trauma-informed or psychologically informed approaches.

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of the Caerphilly area would be great!
