Are you an experienced support worker with knowledge of housing, substance misuse and trauma? Can you assist in the management of staff and provide supervision, guidance and support to colleagues? We are on the lookout for a Senior Support Worker for an incredible housing charity in the RCT / Pontypridd area. What will you get? This is a part time post 22.2 hours per week, spread over 4 to 5 days Permanent contract a flexible shift rota that can be negotiated to suit everyone involved Salary for full time is £26,070 – Pro rata for part time Enhanced holiday entitlements + extra day off Occupational sick pay Employee Assistance Programme Good quality pension Refer a friend scheme Staff recognition programme What will you do? The role of the Senior Support Worker is to lead a small team of support staff. You will be involved in the day to day support of service users. This is a women's service in the RCT area, focused on housing support. The service is funded by the Wales Housing Support Grant (HSG). You will carry a caseload of service users / clients. Undertake safety planning (MARF, SEREF, MARAC). Complete needs and risk assessments. Involvement is staff supervisions, training and development. Act as a deputy to the service manager. What do we need? Someone with excellent experience gain within the housing sector (charity, local authority etc.). A great support worker with leadership skills. Experience of supervising a small team in a social care or support setting. A good understanding of Health and Safety and safeguarding processes. Drivers licence with access to your own car. Good knowledge of the services and organisations across the local area. Able to manage a caseload while also supporting the team.
