Are you an experienced Fleet Manager who enjoys improving services, driving compliance, and making a real impact?
We're working with a respected, values-led organisation looking for a Fleet Manager to lead and develop its fleet operation during a 12-month contract.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and cost-effective while supporting services that make a genuine difference to local communities.
This is far more than keeping vehicles on the road.
You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement, managing contracts and budgets, supporting sustainability initiatives, and ensuring the fleet operates safely, efficiently and in line with legislation.
- What you'll be doing
- Leading the day-to-day management of the organisation's fleet service.
- Ensuring full compliance across fleet and grey fleet vehicles.
- Managing vehicle procurement, maintenance and disposal programmes.
- Overseeing fleet budgets and monitoring costs to deliver value for money.
- Using fleet data and reporting to improve performance, reduce risk and influence decision making.
- Managing supplier relationships, vehicle maintenance contracts and external partners.
- Supporting sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives across the fleet.
- Leading and developing a small fleet team while working closely with operational managers across the business.
- Promoting safe driver behaviour and managing fleet-related risk.
What we're looking for
You’ll already have experience managing a fleet operation and be confident balancing compliance, operational demands and continuous improvement.

- A Certificate of Professional Competency (CPC) in Road Haulage is highly desirable.
