We are delighted to be supporting a purpose-led organisation in Pontypool that is investing in its digital services and infrastructure, and they are looking for an IS Support Officer to join them on a 9-month FTC.

The Role
You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative IT team, providing first and second line support across the organisation. Day to day, you’ll be:
- Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
- Supporting Microsoft 365 applications and wider desktop environments.
- Managing user accounts and access through Active Directory / Azure.
- Supporting mobile devices, hardware, and system configurations.
- Working closely with third line support to ensure smooth escalation and resolution.
- Contributing to improvements in systems, processes, and digital ways of working.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and working closely with people.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Confident providing IT support to users of all technical abilities.
- Comfortable explaining technical issues in a clear, user-friendly way.
- Experienced with Microsoft 365, hardware, and basic networking.
- Familiar with Active Directory / Azure environments.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships.
A relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience would be beneficial. Welsh language skills are welcome but not essential.
