About the role

As Repairs Manager, you'll provide day-to-day operational leadership across responsive repairs, voids, landlord safety and contractor performance. Working closely with the senior property leadership team, you'll deliver a service that is safe, compliant, data-led and aligned with organisational priorities and values. You'll bring structure, visibility and assurance - making sure repairs are completed to a high standard, risks are understood, and teams feel confident and supported. You'll use KPIs, dashboards and customer insight to drive continuous improvement and deliver a service residents can trust.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading a safe, high-performing multi-trade responsive repairs service
  • Managing service performance using KPIs, dashboards and data insight
  • Overseeing the reactive repairs budget and ensuring value for money
  • Procuring, appointing and managing external contractors
  • Leading and mentoring operational leads across gas, electrical, repairs and surveying
  • Managing voids, ensuring timely turnaround and WHQS-aligned standards
  • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, FFHH, WHQS and regulatory requirements
  • Overseeing planned and cyclical maintenance within the repairs function
  • Managing escalations, complaints and complex repairs
  • Participating in the on-call rota and acting as an escalation point
  • Leading audits, inspections and assurance activity
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation to support corporate objectives

About you

  • Have a relevant building qualification (HNC, NEBOSH, RICS)
  • Understand WHQS, HHSRS, FFHH and landlord compliance requirements
