About the role
You'll be carrying out electrical repairs, testing, installations and upgrades across occupied and empty properties.
The work is varied, steady, and you'll have the support of a proper team behind you.
You'll also use your additional trade skills (carpentry/plumbing/plastering) to help complete wider maintenance jobs when needed.
Day‑to‑day, you'll be
- Carrying out electrical repairs, fault‑finding and new circuit installs
- Completing full and part rewires in various containment systems (conduit, trunking etc)
- Testing and certifying electrical works (EICRs, minor works, fire alarms, smoke alarms, emergency lighting)
- Maintaining and repairing heating systems, controls and door entry systems
- Completing cyclical testing of emergency lighting and fire alarms
- Working safely and respectfully in tenants' homes
- Using a handheld device to log jobs and keep records up to date
- Keeping your van stocked so you can finish jobs first time
- Supporting apprentices and junior staff when needed
