Do you want to make a real difference to those who have faced domestic violence and abuse? How about supporting people to move forward, through safe and secure housing?

This is a temporary ongoing role that covers multiple sites across Merthyr Tydfil.

  • Working between 9.30am and 5pm with some flexibility
  • Will consider part time (30 hours) or full time (35 hours) per week
  • Hourly pay rate: £22,995 for full time
  • Based in the Merthyr Tydfil area

What will you do?

  • Support people living in individual refuge properties
  • Provide advice and guidance to enable people to move forward with their lives
  • Complete needs assessments, risk assessments and support plans
  • Refer to other services as needed
  • Multi-agency working with other services across the area
  • Attend meetings to discuss cases
  • Visit service users regularly
  • Keep detailed records of each interaction / situation

What do you need?

  • Experience of supporting vulnerable people
  • Knowledge of the effects of domestic violence on individuals and their families
  • The ability to assess needs and manage risk
  • Able to write effective support plans
  • An understanding of housing and homelessness
  • Can work with adults and young people
  • A Drivers license and access to a vehicle
  • An Enhanced DBS on the live update service is essential
