We're partnering with a well-established, community-focused organisation that makes a real difference to people's lives every day. They're looking for an experienced HR Adviser to join their friendly, collaborative People team in a true generalist role with a strong ER focus. This is a brilliant opportunity for a HR Advisor who enjoys being a trusted partner to managers, coaching with confidence, and helping shape a positive, fair and inclusive workplace culture.

The role

You'll work closely with managers across the business, providing clear, practical and people-centred HR advice. No two days will look the same, from supporting complex ER casework to contributing to projects that improve the employee journey.

Responsibilities

  • Advising and coaching managers on the full range of employee relations matters — absence, disciplinaries, grievances, performance and capability
  • Supporting organisational change including restructures, redundancy and TUPE processes
  • Guiding managers through investigations and ensuring fair, compliant processes and documentation
  • Partnering on recruitment and onboarding, occasionally supporting interviews and new starter processes
  • Using people data and metrics to spot trends and help drive continuous improvement
  • Building strong relationships with leaders and acting as a credible, solutions-focused HR partner
  • Contributing to policy development, people projects and culture initiatives across the organisation

About you

This role would suit a confident HR Advisor who enjoys autonomy but also values being part of a supportive team. We're looking for someone with:

  • Solid experience providing generalist HR advice, particularly across ER casework
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to apply it practically
  • Experience coaching and influencing managers at different levels
  • A proactive, organised and calm approach when handling sensitive situations
  • Confidence writing letters, reports and people documentation
  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
  • A genuine passion for people, fairness, and creating positive workplace experiences

What the role is offering

  • Flexible hybrid working - 1 day office per week
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Purpose driven organisation
  • Opportunities for growth and career progression
  • Supportive, collaborative team
  • Real influence on culture and managers
