This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a high-priority fire safety programme, helping to ensure essential inspections and remedial works are completed, compliance standards are maintained and residents are kept safe in their homes.
We're looking for organised, proactive individuals who bring experience within fire safety, social housing, property compliance or repairs and maintenance, and who enjoy working with people, solving problems and keeping things moving.
What will you be doing?
You’ll play an important role in coordinating fire safety works across residential properties, working closely with residents, contractors and internal teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contacting residents to arrange access for essential fire safety inspections and remedial works.
- Coordinating contractor appointments and ensuring outstanding works progress efficiently.
- Proactively following up on missed appointments, access difficulties and outstanding actions.
- Creating and updating works orders, maintaining accurate compliance records and monitoring deadlines.
- Liaising with internal teams and contractors to resolve issues and minimise delays.
- Supporting the wider team in achieving important fire safety and regulatory compliance targets.
What are we looking for?
We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience within fire safety administration, social housing or property compliance.
- A background in coordinating repairs, maintenance, inspections or contractor appointments.
- Strong telephone communication skills, with confidence engaging residents and handling challenging conversations.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, persistent approach to following up outstanding actions and resolving problems.
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records across different systems.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused attitude and a genuine commitment to customer safety.
Experience using housing management or compliance systems, such as Open Housing, would be particularly beneficial.
What’s in it for you?
- £28,500 annual salary
- Hybrid working arrangements.
- 37-hour working week, with potential overtime opportunities.
- Minimum 4-month temporary contract.
- Opportunity to contribute to an important, high-profile fire safety programme.
- Supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Valuable experience within a leading social housing organisation.
- Potential longer-term opportunities as the organisation continues to develop.
Interested?
If you have experience in fire safety, housing or property compliance and are looking for an opportunity where your organisational skills and proactive approach can make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you!
