About the Role
You'll be joining a small, highly skilled team working on a wide range of precision components. This isn't a repetitive production role - you'll be involved in real machining.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines (Fanuc-controlled Doosan)
- Running existing programs and supporting first-off checks
- Loading/unloading parts and carrying out basic tool changes
- Reading engineering drawings and understanding tolerances
- Using measurement tools such as verniers and micrometers
- Supporting senior machinists with setups, fixtures and tooling
- Keeping your machine area clean, organised and safe
- Learning new skills and progressing into more technical work
What We're Looking For
- Some experience in CNC machining (setting or operating)
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings
- Familiarity with measurement tools
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Interest in progressing into programming and more complex machining
- Reliable, steady and takes pride in producing quality work
If you've worked on Mazak, Hurco, Doosan, Haas, Fanuc or similar machines - even better.
