Are you an experienced Gas Engineer with proven leadership experience? Ready to step into a role where your decisions directly keep families safe at home? There's something powerful about work that protects people. If you're someone who takes pride in doing things properly, supports others to do the same, and wants a healthier work‑life balance without stepping away from the tools entirely, this Gas Supervisor role could be the ideal next step.

About the role

Moxie People are partnering with a well‑established housing provider to recruit a Gas Supervisor into their friendly, high‑performing M&E team. This role is central to keeping over 5,000 homes safe, warm and fully compliant. You’ll lead, coach and manage a team of 9 Heating Engineers, ensuring safe, high‑quality delivery of servicing, repairs and installations. You’ll balance supportive supervision with hands‑on technical work during peak periods, acting as the organisation's technical expert for complex cases and gas safety decisions. Your week will be split between home working, the office and being out on site - meeting engineers, carrying out audits and QA checks, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring all gas operations meet statutory and organisational standards. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining excellent access rates for annual gas servicing and will act as the Gas Competent Person for the organisation.

What's on offer

  • £45,000 salary
  • Flexible working across home, office and site
  • 40‑hour week with early‑finish Fridays
  • Supportive, relaxed culture with a manager who trusts you
  • 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 with service
  • Christmas shutdown + social days
  • Healthcare plan (dental, physio & more)
  • Light‑touch on‑call (phone only in most cases)
  • Real opportunity to grow, develop engineers and shape the service

About you

You’ll thrive here if you’re calm, supportive and confident leading others. You’ll need:

  • Proven experience supervising, leading or managing Gas/Heating Engineers
  • ACS domestic gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1
  • Commercial gas tickets or wider experience across installs/repairs are a bonus, but not essential.
  • Experience delivering or overseeing domestic gas servicing, repairs or installs
  • Ability to coach, mentor and motivate engineers to maintain high standards
  • Confidence making safe technical decisions and managing compliance, recalls and quality
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Full UK Driving Licence
