We are looking for someone to join us on a 24-hour-per-week basis. If you are seeking full-time employment, we'd be happy to discuss the possibility of increasing the role to 40 hours per week for the right candidate.
Job Purpose
Subject Matter Expert on Mowi’s employment practices in relation to our governance and compliance framework, ensuring legal, ethical, certification and customer requirements are met, and leading development and improvement initiatives.
The role manages risk, maintains audit readiness, and uses data, audits and employee feedback to drive practical improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the employment compliance framework, covering legal, ethical, certification and customer requirements.
- Maintain visibility of key risks, controls, actions and evidence to support audit readiness.
- Monitor legislation, regulation and reporting requirements, coordinating required actions.
- Ensure compliance with ASC, BRC, Global GAP, Sedex, BAP and key retailer ethical employment standards.
- Audit agency labour providers and relevant suppliers, tracking corrective actions to completion.
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor and share compliance, risks, trends and priorities.
- Analyse workforce and employment data to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
- Investigate root causes and work with colleagues to deliver practical solutions.
- Lead agreed improvement actions through to implementation.
- Run regular employee Pulse Surveys and identify key themes.
- Work with managers and teams to turn feedback into practical actions.
- Coordinate training or awareness needs arising from audits, data, feedback or risk.
- Oversee statutory and ethical employment reporting, including Gender Pay Gap and Modern Slavery reporting.
- Own GDPR, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Group Annual Reporting and other people-data requirements.

Experience & Knowledge
Essential:
- Evidence of owning complex work and delivering tangible outcomes.
- Strong organisation, communication, collaboration and follow-through.
- Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employment information.
Desirable:
- Understanding of employment law.
- Management-level experience in a relevant discipline such as compliance, governance, audit, risk, continuous improvement, data analysis or a regulated environment.
HR experience is not essential. Transferable experience and capability are equally relevant.
