If you have logistics and distribution management experience and are looking for a new challenge, Movianto UK are hiring! You will be accountable for the overall performance and success of the Distribution Centre at our Bedford site. You will be working Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week) and will be paid up to ÂŁ60,000.00 per annum.

Purpose of the role
To be responsible for the overall performance and success of the Distribution Centre, ensuring the effective delivery and collection of customer products within the assigned geographical area, while consistently achieving agreed KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
How youâll make an impact as a Distribution Centre Manager at Movianto
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, operating within DVSA requirements and Operator Licence obligations.
- Ensure depot operations comply with MHRA regulatory requirements and product handling guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with Key Account Managers to monitor service levels.
- Work closely with Commercial, IT, Client Services and Finance teams.
- Develop, review and deliver site budgets, targets and operational plans.
- Manage supplier relationships in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Manage direct reports, including recruitment, training, performance management, disciplinary processes and workplace Health & Safety.
- Manage workforce planning.
- Work closely with the internal Fleet team to ensure that all legislative responsibilities are followed and engage with new initiatives and efficiencies.
- Continuously review operational processes - KPIs to drive improvements in service quality and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with IT and Solutions teams to automate processes.
- Demonstrated operational performance, cost efficiency and team development.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost models and profitability.
- Financially astute with the ability to interpret and manage operational budgets and financial performance.
- Strong leadership and team development capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Problemâsolving and ability to prioritise workload and perform effectively under pressure.
What it will take to thrive as a Distribution Centre Manager at Movianto
- CPC National and International qualification required.
- IOSH qualified.
- Logistics or Supply Chain qualification desirable.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
