Movianto UK is seeking a proactive IS Support Technician to join our team in Bedford on a six-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic IT function that supports the essential operations of our healthcare logistics business. The salary is £28,234.25 pro rata per annum.
About the RoleAs an IS Support Technician, you will play a key role in supporting Movianto’s day-to-day IT operations, ensuring systems run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively with teammates and third-party partners to resolve technical issues, support business projects, and contribute to technology rollouts across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver key business projects by the end of 2025.
- Support the deployment of Windows 11 across all hardware.
- Assist in the rollout of MDM solutions onto company mobile phones and warehouse devices.
- Aid in the implementation of new transport handheld devices.
- Configure, install, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and other IT systems.
- Set up and manage user accounts and profiles, ensuring seamless network access.
- Respond to and troubleshoot technical support calls, incident tickets, and general IT issues.
- Provide clear, accurate communication and feedback to internal and external customers.
- Log and prioritise IT issues efficiently while managing multiple open cases.
- Escalate unresolved problems to the relevant internal teams when necessary.
- Maintain accurate inventories of IT hardware and ensure all support activities align with company IT processes.
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and IT products.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g. Zendesk).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary IT team.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, or IT Help Desk Technician.
- Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies.
- Proactive, solution-focused approach with strong teamwork skills.
- Experience coordinating vendors or resources.
- Additional language skills (English, German, French, Spanish, Danish).
