Are you a Transport Operator looking for a new role? Movianto in Dartford is hiring! You\'ll be working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, and will be paid £29,354.36 per annum, including a £2,000 location allowance.
The Transport Operator will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day transport operations with a focus on quality, health & safety, and transport compliance on site. The individual will ensure that Movianto\'s client deliveries are processed and booked in with customers in a timely and correct manner, providing ongoing support using various IT systems, answering queries, and ensuring drivers have all necessary information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage scanning, manifesting, and tracking of daily deliveries in line with SOPs and compliance standards.
- Brief and debrief drivers using TMS, Verilocation, Tachomaster, Odyssey, and Fleet Check, ensuring accurate and signed paperwork.
- Resolve delivery and collection issues promptly, supporting drivers throughout their routes.
- Deliver excellent customer service across all communication channels.
- Ensure compliance with DVSA and health & safety regulations, managing inspections, MOTs, servicing, and incident reporting.
- Support daily operations including TMS maintenance, booking deliveries, handling temperature deviations, cross-dock activity, on-road cover, and team engagement.
- Maintain excellent communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Understand driver hours regulations and health & safety standards to ensure operational compliance.
- Provide strong customer service, focusing on satisfaction and understanding customer needs.
- Proficient in administration and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with great attention to detail.
- Be professional, reliable, punctual, and accountable with a strong work ethic.
- Confidently operate an FLT (licence desirable; training available) and adapt to change and new challenges.
