We’re looking for a detail-focused and motivated Trainee Finance Operations Officer to join our growing team at Stockport Exchange. At ONP Solicitors, part of Movera, we’re transforming the moving market for our people, partners and clients. Technology enables us, but it’s our people who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This role is a great opportunity to start or build your career in finance operations. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with full training and support from an experienced team. The Role

As a Trainee Finance Operations Officer, you’ll support the Accounts team with a range of core finance activities, helping ensure money moves accurately, securely, and on time. You’ll work across high volumes of transactions and play a key role in maintaining data accuracy and supporting day-to-day financial operations. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00, based at Stockport Exchange, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Please note that the first couple of months of the role will be full time in the office whilst you transition into the team.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Process incoming and outgoing payments, including cheques and client account transactions
  • Support the handling and distribution of finance-related post
  • Assist with high-volume financial postings on internal systems
  • Carry out payment and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • Respond to internal finance queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support data integrity
  • Assist with ad-hoc finance and operational tasks as required
  • Contribute to a team culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
