In this role, you’ll work alongside an experienced Senior Property Lawyer, supporting them on a varied residential property caseload and gaining exposure to every stage of the conveyancing process. The Role You’ll support an experienced Senior Property Lawyer in a busy role with a varied residential property caseload, dealing with all aspects of the conveyancing transaction using the industry’s leading Case Management system. You’ll be a key point of contact for clients, brokers, estate agents and solicitors and assist in all aspects of the conveyancing process, with a view to ultimately running your own caseload as a Property Lawyer.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Property Lawyer to ensure that all files are progressed promptly.
- Maintain all allocated files in good order, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements and regulatory/statutory requirements.
- Deal with case enquiries by telephone and email delivering a first‑class customer service experience.
- Enhance the client experience using our conveyancing systems and technology.
- Liaise with Clients, Lenders, Mortgage Brokers and other Solicitors.
- Maintain detailed telephone notes throughout transactions and promptly handle emails and phone calls.
- Assist with completions and the administrative work between Exchange and Completion.
- Prepare and deal with Requisitions on Title.
- Prepare completion statements, invoices, and exchange/completion letters.
- Take on extra tasks to help the Property Lawyers/Senior Property Lawyers.
- Work from a task list; following up prompts and actioning accordingly.
- Accurately inputting data into a case management system.
What you’ll need
- Previous experience in a residential conveyancing environment is essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence and professionalism to build trusted relationships.
- Experience working with a Case Management System (experience of Visualfiles would be advantageous).
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise effectively and maintain accuracy under pressure.
