The Role
The role would suit someone with experience as a conveyancing paralegal, adept at handling a mixed caseload involving freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, and new build transactions. You’ll support an experienced solicitor with their varied residential property caseload, dealing with all aspects of the conveyancing transaction using the industry’s leading Case Management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Solicitor to ensure that all files are progressed promptly.
- Maintain all allocated files in good order, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements and regulatory/statutory requirements.
- Deal with case enquiries by telephone and email delivering a first-class customer service experience.
- Enhance the client experience using our conveyancing systems and technology.
- Liaise with Clients, Lenders, Mortgage Brokers and other Solicitors.
- Maintain detailed telephone notes throughout transactions and promptly handle emails and phone calls.
- Onboard new clients and following up for ID, instruction forms, protocol forms, money on account and proof of funds etc
- Request management packs and LPE1 forms from landlords/managing agents
- Review sale enquiries, obtaining client/landlord replies and replying to enquiries
- Raise enquiries on FH and LH purchases
- Obtain redemption statements and carry out pre-completion searches.
- Submitting usual property searches.
- Assist with completions and the administrative work between Exchange and Completion.
- Exchanging contracts
- Preparing apportionments completion statements
- Prepare and deal with Requisitions on Title.
- Prepare completion statements, invoices, and exchange/completion letters.
- Take on extra tasks to help the Case Managers/Senior Case Managers.
- Work from a task list; following up prompts and actioning accordingly.
- Accurately inputting data into a case management system.
What you’ll need
- At least 2 years of experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or in a similar role.
- Experience working in transactional with exposure to leasehold and new build files.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Experience using Case Management Systems and Visual Files preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday to Friday.
