The Opportunity
Own and build a practice, not just join one. Interim demand from PE funds has grown faster than any other part of our business over the last two years. We've established the client relationships, the delivery infrastructure, and the talent network. What we need now is the right person to take ownership and scale it. If you're currently on a team where your ceiling is someone else's career progression, this is the move. You'll have real autonomy, meaningful commercial upside, and the backing to build something significant.
The Role
As Head of Client Growth - Private Equity, you will own and drive the growth of our Interim PE practice across EMEA, working closely with our Search Director and Consulting Director. You'll have full support from our Interim Success (delivery) team on fulfilment, while you focus on client relationships and mandate origination.
Day to day, you will:
- Develop and deepen relationships with key stakeholders at our PE fund clients, generating new business and expanding existing accounts.
- Partner with clients to understand and source senior interim talent — Chief Transformation Officers, Heads of Value Creation, and functional leads.
- Work closely with the EMEA Success team to ensure clients receive best-in-class service on every mandate.
- Contribute to the overall growth strategy across industry segments alongside the leadership team.
- Take P&L accountability for the Interim PE practice, with the opportunity to build and lead your own team as it scales.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone hungry, credible with senior clients, and commercially driven — with high standards and the ambition to build something. Recruitment experience is an advantage (particularly interim), but we're open to strong backgrounds in consulting, strategy or executive search, too.
Must have:
- Strong client hands — a track record of building senior client relationships and growing them into meaningful, loyal accounts.
- Background in executive search, consulting, strategy/transformation, or recruitment.
- Commercial drive and genuine BD instinct — energized by winning mandates and growing accounts.
- Polished and credible with senior stakeholders (PE partners, operating teams, C-suite).
- High standards, hunger to build, and ability to learn quickly in a new market.
Nice to Have:
- A network within Private Equity funds or PE-backed businesses.
- Experience in interim recruitment specifically.
- Knowledge of value creation, transformation or PE operating models.
- Understanding of the PE talent market.
What We Offer
Package:
- Competitive base salary with significant performance bonus tied to P&L; total OTE £70k–£100k depending on performance.
- Autonomy & progression.
- Metric-driven with real freedom to work however you need to hit your numbers; no micromanagement.
- Fast progression: grow your own Interim PE team, or transition into Consulting or Executive Search.
- Access to our 100k+ talent network and proprietary AI-enabled platform from day one.
- A client base that most interim recruiters spend years earning. Our PE relationships sit at the senior partner and operating team level.
Time off & flexibility:
- 25 days annual leave + your birthday off + 8 UK bank holidays.
- An extra day of holiday for each year of service after your second anniversary.
- Flexible working from our Farringdon office.
- Summer Fridays. We finish at 3 pm every Friday.
- Paid time off for dependants.
Everything else:
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
- Annual company away trip (usually September/October).
