To work on the technical implementation and maintenance of this environmental company’s services and infrastructure which will cover both on-prem and cloud environments. The day to day detail about the role will involve provisioning, deploying, and sustaining these internal systems to align with their daily business needs to provide their customers, both internal and external with the services that they require. Their business relies heavily on software applications, making this role essential for ensuring service continuity and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Building and managing the on-prem servers (Windows), virtualisation (Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure (Azure). This includes working on both physical and virtual hardware.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of the infrastructure including regular maintenance, patching and updates.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the infrastructure.
- Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience with infrastructure including Virtualisation (Hyper-V), physical servers (Windows) and storage.
- Windows server 2012-2019, AD, DNS, DHCP, Failover manager etc.
- Strong Azure Cloud and migration experience.
- Azure Management and migration experience from on-prem to cloud networking principals and technologies.
- Hardware and software patching/firmware upgrades.
- Asset management.
