Fire, CCTV & Security Systems Technician (DN22) We are looking for an experienced Fire, CCTV and Security Engineer to support planned and reactive maintenance across a busy site.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with technical knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, fire safety systems, emergency lighting and general building maintenance.
The successful candidate will help keep essential systems safe, compliant and fully operational, responding to maintenance requirements in a professional and timely manner.
Hours: 39 hours per week, typically between 8am and 5pm, with 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis and additional allowance.
Salary: £28,792 - £31,792, depending on experience – salary with the uplift is £33,096 – 36,587 You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on CCTV, alarm and security systems.
- Completing routine checks, testing and basic fault finding on fire safety equipment, emergency lighting, smoke vents and related systems.
- Inspecting and maintaining fire doors, extinguishers, hydrants, hoses and associated safety equipment.
- Completing RCD testing, water temperature checks and other compliance-related tasks as required.
- Recording work accurately using maintenance systems and ensuring tasks are completed safely and on time.
- Supporting general building maintenance duties where required. About You
- Experience working with CCTV, fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, access control or wider security systems.
- Good knowledge of fire safety checks, emergency lighting, fire doors and extinguisher maintenance.
- Confident carrying out routine maintenance, testing, inspections and basic fault diagnosis.
- Strong attention to detail with a safety-first approach.
- Good IT skills and the ability to update maintenance records accurately.
- A flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to support wider facilities maintenance duties. What We Offer
