An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of the North East’s largest and most established main contractors, working on major water and wastewater frameworks across the region.
You will be part of a 7-year framework, offering long-term security, excellent project exposure, and a chance to significantly enhance your CV within a thriving water sector that continues to grow and invest year on year.
The Role
You will support and manage commercial activities across a portfolio of water and wastewater projects, working closely with operational teams and clients under NEC contracts. This role is open to Assistant Quantity Surveyors through to Senior Quantity Surveyors, making it ideal for candidates looking to step up or further strengthen their commercial expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of water and wastewater civil engineering projects
- Working under NEC forms of contract
- Cost control, forecasting, and reporting
- Preparing and managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
- Working collaboratively with delivery and engineering teams
- Ensuring commercial best practice across the framework
About You
- Background in Civil Engineering projects (water experience preferred but not essential)
- Experience working as an Assistant, Intermediate, or Senior Quantity Surveyor
- NEC contract experience is essential
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Eager to learn, develop, and progress within a major contractor environment
