We are currently recruiting for a Robot Programmer/Commissioning Engineer to deliver advanced robotic and automated assembly systems for customers across the automotive sector and beyond. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on innovative projects from concept through to commissioning and client handover.
You will join a small, highly skilled team of engineers, contributing to cutting-edge automation solutions and making a real impact across the full project lifecycle. You will be involved in:
- Early-stage project development through to build, commissioning and successful integration at customer sites.
- Support automation projects from initial concepts and simulations through to final commissioning and handover.
- Contribute to technical specifications, equipment sourcing and system development.
- Carry out hands-on system build, robot programming and commissioning.
- Work closely with customers during installation and integration activities.
As Robot Programmer/Commissioning Engineer you will:
- Bring hands-on experience in industrial robot programming, including offline programming, EIO set-up and integration of associated hardware.
- Have strong experience programming industrial robots, particularly ABB and Fanuc.
- Possess knowledge of associated hardware such as weld guns, weld timers, MIG welding equipment, sealant or gluing systems, and vision systems.
- Have PLC knowledge or programming experience in an industrial environment, particularly Siemens TIA Portal, which would be a strong advantage.
The role will be based from Milton Keynes with a requirement to travel to customer sites (typically within the Midlands) and a company vehicle will be provided. The role offers a salary of £48,000 - £54,000, plus Pension, and 22 days holiday (increases with service).
