We are supporting our client in the search for a Lead Product Support Engineer to lead a small engineering team and act as the technical bridge between design and production. This is a senior role focused on solving complex manufacturing issues, improving build performance, and ensuring electro-mechanical products are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small product support team within production engineering.
- Investigate manufacturing, assembly and test issues, driving root cause and corrective action.
- Act as the technical link between design, quality, suppliers and production.
- Improve manufacturability, yield, process efficiency and documentation.
- Support new product introduction and build readiness for complex electro-mechanical products.
What we're looking for
- Experience in manufacturing, production or sustaining engineering within a regulated environment.
- Strong background in electro-mechanical products, assembly processes and technical problem-solving.
- Proven ability to lead or coordinate engineers and technicians.
- Knowledge of configuration control, engineering change, quality tools and continuous improvement.
- Experience in defence, marine, aerospace or similarly complex industries is highly desirable.
