MoveATech is recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering client for a Maintenance Technician to join their Havant site on a day shift, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Role Overview: The Maintenance Technician will support site production equipment, ensuring safe and compliant maintenance to maximize equipment availability and deliver site KPIs. You will work proactively with peers, customers, and support groups to drive equipment reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and source necessary parts.
  • Work with Continuous Improvement and Process Engineering teams to improve OEE, cost efficiency, and site KPIs.
  • Update maintenance records, review CMMS data, and utilize predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and control system issues.
  • Lead small teams and provide on-the-job technical training.
  • Promote safe systems of work and adhere to site safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Time-served, certified engineering apprenticeship
  • BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Experience in general industry maintenance
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems
  • Ability to use hand tools and specialized tools
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics
