A leading engineering company is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in EPLAN to join their team in Birmingham. This role is primarily focused on automotive projects, with additional involvement in the food & beverage sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for automation and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical schematics using EPLAN
- Create wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and control panel designs
- Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to integrate electrical designs into automated systems
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations for automotive and food & beverage applications
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to refine designs and improve system performance
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in an automotive environment (essential)
- Experience in the food & beverage industry (desirable)
