The Role
We are looking to appoint a Design Coordinator to support the successful delivery of multiple construction projects across the public sector. You will play a key role in coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring design information is fully integrated, compliant, and delivered on time.
You will work closely with the Design Manager, Project Managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure a smooth flow of information and effective collaboration across all disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design process across multiple projects
- Manage and track design information, ensuring timely issue and approval
- Liaise with external consultants, architects, and engineers
- Support design development from tender through to construction
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and employer’s requirements
- Assist in identifying and resolving design risks and clashes
- Attend design meetings and contribute to technical discussions
- Maintain accurate design records and documentation
About You
- Previous experience in a Design Coordinator or similar role within construction
- Experience working on public sector projects is highly desirable
- Good understanding of the design and construction process
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
- Comfortable working collaboratively with internal and external teams
