MoveATech is supporting a leading UK renewable energy organisation in their search for a Maintenance Technician to join their team at a major power facility in Fife, Scotland. This role is suitable for candidates with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, including individuals from power generation, utilities, manufacturing, heavy engineering, or those transitioning from the Armed Forces.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the plant operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. Responsibilities include delivering routine and non-routine maintenance, supporting fault-finding activities, and contributing to continuous improvement and plant performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe working practices in line with site SHE procedures
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance across plant equipment
  • Support out-of-hours operations to maximise plant availability and output
  • Investigate equipment issues and implement effective solutions
  • Produce technical reports and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Conduct plant condition monitoring
  • Assist with planning, resourcing, and supervision of contractors
  • Provide cover for the Maintenance Coordinator when required
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong mechanical and electrical technical awareness
  • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of site safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
  • Effective communication and IT skills
  • Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent industry training
Preferred Backgrounds
  • Power generation / renewable energy
  • Manufacturing or processing plants
  • Utilities and facilities engineering
  • Heavy engineering / industrial maintenance
  • Ex-Forces technical trades

MUST be electrically biased

Salary and Benefits: £40,000 to £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, Pension scheme with up to 5% matched contributions, increasing with service, Life cover (4× basic salary), 38 hours per week Monday - Friday.
