MoveATech is recruiting a skilled CNC Miller / Setter to join a precision engineering production facility in Portsmouth. This role is suited to an experienced machinist with strong expertise in CNC milling operations, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality precision parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Bridgeport / Heidenhain controls)
- Work within a machine shop environment adhering to safety and quality standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Use precision measuring instruments to maintain tight tolerances
- Manage day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth production workflow
- Complete production and quality logs accurately
- Maintain clear communication within the team and management
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in CNC milling
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment
- Experience with Heidenhain CNC controls
Desirable Experience
- Experience with other CNC machines such as lathes and EDMs
Additional Information
- Night shift work required; 33% night shift allowance will be applied
