Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, technically minded Sales Executive to drive business development across the South of the UK. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the growth of our industrial instrumentation products in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers across the South of the UK.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities in key sectors such as oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and HVAC.
- Provide technical guidance to customers, helping them select the right measurement instruments for their applications.
- Prepare proposals and quotations in collaboration with the European team (approximately 95% of quotes are completed in Germany).
- Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the expansion of the UK business.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and during customer visits.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM systems.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical or industrial sales, ideally within instrumentation, automation, or engineering.
- Strong business development skills and a track record of generating new leads and closing deals.
- Technically minded, with the ability to understand industrial applications and advise customers effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a field-based role.
- Willingness to travel across the South of the UK as required.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting.
