Electrical Hardware Design Engineer in Bedford

Our client is a well-established UK-based automation specialist headquartered in Bedfordshire, delivering automated warehousingsolutions to a wide range of UK and international clients.

The Role

As anElectrical Hardware Design Engineer, you\’ll be using Eplan 2022-24 to help design and engineer hardware solutions for all types of automation projects. You\’ll also be responsible for schematics, engineering calculations, BOMs and design documentation. This is the chance to join a dynamic and growing team who also offer remote and hybrid working!

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret customer/process requirements.
• Design electrical systems usingEPLAN, including 3D layout drawings.
• Create accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) for procurement and documentation.
• Collaborate with design and controls engineers to meet overall system needs.
• Support commissioning processes (FAT & SAT).
• Ensure compliance with safety directives and technical standards.

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Proficient in EPLAN 22-24
• Experience using Autocad
• Qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Experience in the electrical design of special-purpose machinery, automation, robotics, conveyor and warehouse automation systems or similar.
