We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President to lead our Buenos Aires Credit Trading Middle Office. The role involves overseeing Trading and Sales Support for the Credit Trading, Public Finance, Syndicate, and Fixed Income Middle Offices. This role involves supporting multiple traders and salespersons across Credit, Gem Credit, Rates, SPG, Public Finance and NA Syndicate. The Credit and Public Finance businesses are market makers in the Corporate Credit, Mortgage, and Municipal Markets, covering Derivatives, Securities, Loans, Securitized Products, and Syndicate trading.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee trading and sales support functions primarily for North America Credit Trading and North American Fixed Income Sales, ensuring accurate trade capture and lifecycle management.
- Functional responsibility over a team of 50-55 FTEs in the Buenos Aires FICC Middle Office, supporting the Credit, Public Finance, Syndicate, and Fixed Income Middle Office across diverse desks, including Credit Derivatives, Credit Securities, Credit Loans, Algo, SPG, and related hedge products.
- Direct regulatory reporting obligations (TRACE, MSRB, CFTC, SEC) and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement detailed reconciliations and T+1 checkout processes for internal trades, broker trades, and trades completed via JPMorgan sales/marketing desks.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies/breaks, including legal confirmation queries and nostro breaks, in a timely manner.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis for trading and sales desks to support decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
- Spearhead middle office technology priorities, leveraging tools like Alteryx and Tableau to improve controls and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess regulatory impacts and support new business growth.
- Drive process reviews and system enhancements to improve controls and operational efficiency, leading continuous improvement projects.
- Experience in financial operations, middle office management, and knowledge of credit products and regulatory frameworks is a plus.
- Proven expertise in trading and sales support within a middle office environment, particularly in credit and fixed income products.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
