The Role: Can you help Southwark Council to shape a brand new leisure service that supports all its residents to lead healthy lives? We are looking for a passionate and experienced Fitness Manager who will develop and manage the fitness product at one of our Leisure Centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment, but is also confident working independently. This position involves motivating and managing people and requires someone with excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone who is passionate about group exercise and fitness, brings good energy, has a proactive and positive attitude and cares for our customers. You will be passionate about leisure and constantly looking for opportunities to drive the business forward and encourage healthy activity and help reduce health inequalities in the borough. Reporting to the Service Fitness Manager, the successful candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have experience in gym and group exercise program management, demonstrate excellent health and safety management, customer care, retention of existing members and driving the performance of the Fitness product at one of the centres in the borough.

About You: Hold a CIMSPA or REPs accredited Level 3 qualification. Experience working in a customer facing environment, providing the highest levels of customer care. Experience in a sales environment working towards targets and achieving them consistently. Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales.
