Purpose
To provide visionary, strategic and operational leadership in the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Move More’s Early Years setting, ensuring exceptional quality, strong safeguarding practice, and meaningful developmental outcomes for every child. This role will shape the strategic direction of Early Years provision, cultivate a culture of curiosity, play, and inclusion, and ensure all delivery is aligned with national frameworks and best practice. The postholder will lead high‑performing staff, strengthen operational systems, and champion innovative approaches that enhance school readiness, support families, and expand the reach and impact of Move More’s Early Years setting.
Main Duties
- Lead the development and delivery of a high‑quality, evidence‑informed Early Years setting that strengthens outcomes for children and supports organisational growth and long‑term sustainability.
- Identify emerging needs, sector trends, and developmental insights to shape programme direction and maximise impact across all Early Years settings.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and evaluation of Early Years provision, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice.
- Lead the creation and refinement of engaging, developmentally appropriate resources, play‑based activities, and family‑support materials that enhance learning and strengthen Move More’s Early Years identity.
- Drive innovative approaches to Early Years delivery, partnerships, and community engagement that expand reach, deepen relationships, and improve developmental outcomes.
- Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the setting, including staffing, scheduling, occupancy, budgeting, and overall operational performance to ensure high‑quality, efficient, and sustainable delivery.
- Lead the design and delivery of a pedagogically robust Early Years curriculum rooted in the EYFS, ensuring rich, play‑based learning experiences, strong SEN inclusion, and alignment with Ofsted expectations for high‑quality teaching, learning, and child development.
- Build strong relationships with other schools, nurseries, health partners, community groups, and families to enhance programme delivery and strengthen Move More’s reputation in Early Years provision.
