The role: As a Middleweight Designer, you’ll be a key part of our design team, bringing your creativity to B2B clients across a diverse range of projects. Reporting to the Head of Creative, you’ll have the opportunity to lead the design direction on brand, website and campaign projects, shaping the strategic approach as well as producing high-quality assets.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of brand, website and campaign projects, from initial concept through to execution, bringing both strategic input and creative delivery.
- Develop creative concepts and execute high-quality visual designs across digital.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver on-brand, impactful design solutions that meet business objectives.
- Uphold and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency across all touchpoints.
- Work closely with other departments to understand project briefs and translate them into effective design outcomes.
- Immerse yourself in clients’ businesses to deliver targeted, audience-specific designs.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
- Present design concepts and rationale confidently to clients and internal teams, incorporating feedback constructively.
- Proactively contribute creative thinking to redefine briefs and enhance the creative direction of B2B projects.
- Operate autonomously as the design lead on key projects, guiding the creative process and outputs.
- Produce a wide range of B2B marketing collateral, including creative campaign strategies & assets, sales supporting materials, and video editing.
Skills and competencies:
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma (essential); After Effects and Premiere Pro are a plus.
- Brings original thinking and creative flair to problem-solving, with the ability to generate fresh ideas that elevate B2B design work.
- Confident in presenting design work and concepts to both internal and external teams.
- Able to independently manage own workflow, consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining clear communication within the team.
- A keen eye for detail is essential, with the ability to quality-check own work.
- Skilled in video editing.
- Ability to work effectively with external suppliers (e.g., photographers and videographers).
Experience and qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a B2B agency setting (candidates from B2C agencies or B2B in-house roles will also be considered).
- Portfolio work across industries like Manufacturing, Technology and Science is an advantage.
