We offer the stability of a fixed timetable, guaranteed online teaching hours, a full-time position in the summer with competitive rates along with all meals and accommodation included (for residential teachers, UK only), as well as the opportunity to gain management experience and Cambridge examination preparation skills.

MLA is an institution offering, above all, top quality English language courses to children and young adults (11‑18 y.o.). Our client begins their path with us online before joining us in person at a school in the UK or USA during the summer. We are looking for teachers who can follow these students on their MLA journey.

MLA is an industry leader in providing safe, educational, and cultural holidays to students from around the world. Each year thousands of students travel with MLA as part of our short‑term English as a foreign language (EFL) programmes. Along with our proprietary EFL curriculum, we also provide our students with great activities and excursions featuring some of the most popular historical and tourist destinations across the globe. What makes MLA unique is that we extend this experience into a year‑round programme, beginning up to eight months before departure with online lessons, known as Get Ready.

Please note: Candidates interested in joining us in person at a centre in summer 2026 and experienced in teaching exam classes will be given priority consideration.

Job Description

Our online teachers would be placed to teach either the General English or Cambridge Exam Preparation courses outlined below.

Cambridge Exam Preparation

Deliver online English classes using our dedicated platform and Zoom, preparing students for Cambridge Exams (A2 Key for Schools, B1 Preliminary for Schools, B2 First for Schools, C1 Advanced). The course will exclusively focus on exam preparation techniques using the Cambridge One platform and Cambridge University Press materials.

General English

Deliver online English classes using our dedicated platform and Zoom, using the MLA Task‑Based Learning syllabus, designed in‑house and unique to MLA, which comes with lesson plans to significantly reduce planning time.

Our students are grouped by age and level (A1‑C1, 11‑18 y.o.) with a maximum of 14 students per group in classes starting in the afternoon.

Teachers MUST be available Monday to Friday from 15.30 to 20.00 CET. Unfortunately, we don\'t have any part‑time positions available.

Class times (CET – Central European Time)

  • 15:30 – 16:30
  • 16:40 – 17:40
  • 17:50 – 18:50
  • 19:00 – 20:00

Certain classes could be backup sessions, in which teachers are required to plan lessons and must be contactable and ready to cover online lessons at short notice.

Teachers are paid at the same rate for classes, backup sessions and 30 min (3 × 10 min) of break every day from Monday to Friday. Classes begin 26 November 2025 and go on until 16 June 2026. There will be paid training in the week starting 10 November 2025.

We follow the Italian national holiday calendar and so there will be no lessons during these periods:

  • 8 December 2025
  • 24 December 2025 – 6 January 2026 (inclusive)
  • 3 April 2026 – 9 April 2026 (inclusive)
  • 1 May 2026
  • 2 June 2026
  • 10 June 2025 and 11 June 2025

The final day of online lessons will be 16 June 2026.

In summer, and based on your eligibility to work, you will then join us for up to 6 weeks (minimum 2 weeks) in person at one of our summer centres in the UK or the USA. Here, you will become a part of creating an unforgettable summer experience for our students as they study in person. We offer competitive rates (and in the UK only: all meals and accommodation included for those who are interested in being residential). If you are interested in senior positions, we will consider you for the positions of Assistant Directors of Studies and Directors of Studies in our summer schools.
